The Tiruchirappalli West Assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu has delivered a closely contested result in the 2026 elections, with Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate K.N. Nehru securing victory over Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’s G. Ramamoorthy. The result was declared after completion of all 24 rounds of counting on May 4.
According to official data from the Election Commission of India, Nehru polled 88,235 votes, defeating Ramamoorthy, who secured 83,449 votes. The final margin of victory stands at 4,786 votes.
