Playing for Chennai Super Kings in a high-pressure chase, the right-handed batter tore into the LSG bowling attack from the opening over and raced to a remarkable half-century in just 13 balls. The innings equalled one of the fastest fifties in IPL history, matching the record set by Yashasvi Jaiswal in 2023.

Patel eventually scored a stunning 65 runs off only 23 deliveries before being dismissed, but by then he had already changed the momentum of the game.
