Urvil Patel’s 13-Ball Fifty vs LSG Powers CSK in IPL 2026 Thriller

Urvil Mukesh Patel has rapidly emerged as one of the most explosive wicketkeeper-batters in Indian cricket, and his breathtaking innings against Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2026 may now be remembered as the performance that transformed him into a national talking point.

Playing for Chennai Super Kings in a high-pressure chase, the right-handed batter tore into the LSG bowling attack from the opening over and raced to a remarkable half-century in just 13 balls. The innings equalled one of the fastest fifties in IPL history, matching the record set by Yashasvi Jaiswal in 2023.

Patel eventually scored a stunning 65 runs off only 23 deliveries before being dismissed, but by then he had already changed the momentum of the game. Chennai surged past 70 runs within the first five overs as Patel attacked almost every loose delivery. His clean striking, especially over the leg side, left the LSG bowlers struggling to regain control.
