Jana Nayagan, the political action drama directed by H. Vinoth, has finally arrived in theatres after months of anticipation. The film marks Thalapathy Vijay’s final appearance on the big screen before shifting his full focus to politics. The release witnessed packed theatres across Tamil Nadu, with fans celebrating the occasion like a festival, while early trade estimates indicate one of the strongest openings for a Tamil film this year.

Jana Nayagan has been produced on an estimated budget of around ₹300 crore to ₹400 crore, making it one of the costliest films in Tamil cinema. A significant portion of the budget reportedly went towards Vijay’s remuneration, which is among the highest earned by an Indian actor.

The film features Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Narain in prominent roles. Music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Sathyan Sooryan handled cinematography and Pradeep E. Ragav served as editor.
