PBKS Conquer Chepauk: Shreyas Iyer and Priyansh Arya Stun CSK in High-Scoring Thriller

The long-standing contest between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) continues to remain one of the closest rivalries in the IPL. Over time, the balance has held steady, but recent seasons have seen Punjab gradually move ahead. Their latest win on April 3, 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium further strengthens that shift.

Punjab Kings secured a 5-wicket win after successfully chasing down CSK’s 209/5 with eight balls remaining. The chase was defined by an aggressive start and controlled finishing.

Priyansh Arya set the tone early with a rapid 39 off 11 deliveries in the powerplay. Shreyas Iyer followed with a composed half-century to stabilise the innings and guide the chase. For CSK, 18-year-old Ayush Mhatre stood out with a 73 off 43, becoming the youngest player to score an IPL fifty at Chepauk.
