India LPG Crisis

State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders across India from July 1, offering relief to businesses after several months of price increases. The retail price of a commercial cylinder in Delhi has been cut by ₹183.50, bringing the new rate down to ₹2,930.00. Meanwhile, the price of the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged, meaning households will continue paying the same rates that were applicable in June.

The monthly revision benefits commercial establishments such as restaurants, hotels, catering businesses, bakeries and roadside eateries that rely on LPG for daily operations. Domestic consumers, however, will not see any change in their cooking gas bills this month, as the India LPG crisis continues to affect household rates. The revised prices came into effect on July 1, 2026, as part of the OMCs’ regular monthly price review.
